Meet Shane Morris - Evolve's Design Manager

Originally from South Africa, Shane started at Evolve in 2017 as a Graphic Designer. Now one of our lead designers, we caught up with Shane and asked him a few probing questions:

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love that I'm able to design or create something from an idea into something that lives in the real world.

What is the best project you’ve worked on?

Working on my first packaging design, illustrating an Elephant caricature for a well-

known biscuit brand in South Africa, where I'm originally from, and then seeing it on

supermarket shelves.

Who or what are your biggest creative influences?

Chris Do, the Emmy Award-winning designer, and director, and Sagi Haviv, the

eminent graphic designer and author.

What trends are you seeing emerging in the branding, design, and packaging field?

For branding - storytelling, user experience, and very simple design aesthetics have become the trend, as well as now a very strong push for sustainable packaging.

If you were a well-known brand, which one would you be and why?

McDonalds because "I'm loving it" Hahahahaha.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice when starting out, what would it be?

Research more and get used to not knowing everything, knowledge takes time and experience.
